What is lacking in Western Massachusetts and perhaps the world today is the opportunity for each and every cheerleader to improve their individual skils. Whether they are a flyer, a base, or power tumbler and no matter what their age or team commitment level, TrickStar Cheerleading Academy was created to provide a new opportunity! Jumps
We will attack the obstacle of improving athlete's jumps from two angles. By improving their form in the air and by improving their strength, vertical leap and explosiveness we will produce the kind of jumps that are the well sought standard in upper level cheerleading.
DANCE
A combination of rythm, style, grace, coordination and straight up crowd-pumping amplitude is what it takes to earn high scores from the judges and to amaze the crowd. This training is designed to improve all those areas. It will also help to develop the confidence needed to "get your boogie on" and have the crowd do the same.
Flyer Training
This is geared towards those aspiring to be top level flyers, but is open to all. Even those that are not interested in being a flyer it is important to better understand the role and undertakings of a flyer as well as what is needed to support them.
Tumbling
This training is the remedy to the tumbling woes of cheerleaders in Western Mass. We offer the physical, cognitive, disciplinary and developmental elements required to truly make improvements for all students. Students will learn the proper technique and progression of tumbling skills they need to execute for their teams.
Strength and conditioning
In order to maximize your potential as a Cheerleader you must have strength. In order to move your body or body parts from point A to point B you need the strength to do so. Every year athletes are jumping higher and getting stronger. If you come into practices out of shape you are already behind your competition that has been training year round. This is what separates the good cheer squads from the mediocre ones. The importance of a good conditioning program is critical for the prevention of injuries. Our program will get you into the best shape possible. Remember two things. You cannot cheer yourself into shape, and you do not help your team if you are on the sidelines nursing an injury that could have been prevented. This is the training that helps out in both ways.
